Champions for Learning (CFL), formerly the Education Foundation of Collier County, celebrated its 25th anniversary with a Night of Champions event January 28, 2015 to honor companies like Arthrex and individuals who have made an impact on students' lives in the community. The organization brings the community together to invest in innovative practices that enrich the environment for student learning. Out of the many community leaders who have been involved with this worthwhile organization throughout the years, Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. HR Director Mike Boose was one of just 20 honorees selected who exemplify the spirit of collaboration, innovation, community involvement and mentoring. For the past five years, Mike has volunteered for CFL as a representative of Arthrex and has served on the board as secretary since last May.
Mike actively worked to build strong relationships with the local business community, school system and technical centers to enhance manufacturing career opportunities. He is also a key representative of the regional Workforce Now initiative and serves as the inaugural chair of the National Academy Foundation Community Liaison Committee supporting Collier County Public Schools' Academy efforts.
